Veronica Quiroga was raised in the Bronx by a single mother, but is not your average single-parent child. She has worked and continues working today to pave the way towards a brighter future for herself and for her family. She is a feminist, but not your average feminist (what ever that is). She believes in equality and fairness for everyone no matter your gender, sexual orientation, color, skin type, hair type (etc, etc.). Veronica is a part of the Girls Write Now community because she is a firm believer of improvement. Girls Write Now is a place where young female writers can improve while still being themselves and getting to work along side other professional working women who share their same beliefs and ideas.

Terry is a product manager living in Brooklyn and is a mentor for Girls Write Now.

A Closer Look is a visual, radio dramatized, pod-like presentation of the confinements placed on minorities that come from less fortunate families and homes. It tells the story of a young man named Tyrell, or Ty for short, as he is trying to find himself as well as help his family out. Take a closer look at the social and economic restrictions that stop so many young people from achieving their dreams today. —Veronica Quiroga
